The Spring Grove Sons of Norway will meet at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, at the Giants of the Earth Heritage Center, downtown Spring Grove, for its monthly meeting.

Lee Grippen of Caledonia will present a program on his Dream Trip to Norway that his 12 Norwegian exchange students gave him for his birthday.

His 12 Norwegian exchange students and their families plus two Swedish exchange students and families attended the reunion in Norway hosted by one of his exchange sons.

The presentation will include his participation in the Syttende Mai celebrations in Oslo and a trip to Tubfrim in Nesbyen, Norway, where the postage stamps collected from throughout the U.S.A. are stored and sold for the benefit of children that have various childhood diseases throughout Norway.

Millions of used postal stamps are collected and sent to Norway to benefit Tubfrim. Sons of Norway is another great sponsor of the organization.

The Spring Grove Sons of Norway members invite any interested in Norwegian tradition or culture to join them for the program and lunch afterwards. Velkommen til allesammen!
