On Thursday, March 9, elementary students will participate in the “Biggest School Chorus in the World” sponsored by the National Association for Music Education.

Third-grade students will participate in a practice marathon with their penny whistles.
Fourth-grade students will earn their “belts” by participating in “Recorder Karate”. Students must pass certain songs to earn their colorful belts.
Fifth-grade students are preparing choral music to participate in the “Celebration of Young Musicians” concert on Friday, April 7, in Lanesboro.
Sixth-grade students did a wonderful job performing the musical “Wizard of Oz” in early February.
Seventh through 12th-grade students held their choir concert on March 7 and band students are holding their public concert on Friday, March 10.
Choir students who attended the Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther College on Jan. 15 were recognized on Tuesday night. They included Ben Gray, Vivian Kampschroer and Stine Myrah.
The Senior Choir and Senior Band will compete at Large Group Contest on Monday, March 13, at Fillmore Central High School in Harmony. The choir will perform at 4 p.m. and the band at 5 p.m. This competition is open to the public.
