The Harmony Area Chamber of Commerce, Preston Tourism, Rushford Chamber and Peterson Tourism organizations have applied and received a grant from Explore Minnesota for a multi-community grant for advertising for 2013.

The grant was applied for by Emily Ellis from the Harmony Chamber and Gail Barnard-Boyum of Peterson. This is the first time that any of these towns have come together to cooperate in a multi-community grant.

The group will be advertising the bike trail with their Root River Trail Towns celebrations in the fall of 2013.

The dates for celebrating will be Sept. 7 for Peterson, Lanesboro and Whalan; Sept. 14 for Rushford, Rushford Village and Houston and Sept. 21 for Harmony and Preston.
